Ridin' Campus

At Campus, Daniel ran into one of his preschool buddies. His buddy has an older sister who was happy to take the kids for a ride on their boogie boards.

Her arms must've been tired after pulling these three around!

Volcano and Train Birthday

Daniel requested a Train/Volcano (his two favorite things) birthday party with his preschool buddies to celebrate turning four. The poor guy was sick as a dog (along with Kendall) for the big day so we rescheduled. As the new party date approached, Brian got super sick so we canceled and rescheduled again. The third time was the charm and Daniel finally was able to have his train/volcano party that he had been looking forward to for the past month!

I guess they were out of all the volcano/train themed b-day supplies at the local stores, so I improvised with some clip art.

A benefit of the change of date for the party- Nathan was in town and got to join in the celebration.

The pinata. Daniel's new favorite birthday tradition.

Make a wish!

Present time!

What would a preschooler's birthday party be without an exhausted birthday boy breakdown?

Happy 1st Birthday, Kendall!

Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet baby girl Kendall Grace! You are such an energetic, feisty, beautiful bundle of energy. You love to eat everything and we don't know how you fit so much food in your petite frame. Your favorite foods are waffles, bananas and grilled cheese sandwiches. You also still adore your brother and love to laugh with him and chase him around the house. Baby dolls are a favorite toy- you like to kiss, hold, and rock them. You still aren't a fan of snuggling, and when you are super tired and ready for bed you'd prefer to skip the cuddle time and just get placed directly into your crib to sleep. Naps aren't your favorite, and it's difficult to get you on a consistent napping schedule. You are awesome at sleeping through the night and you are ready for bed early- 6:30 pm! You love to play and explore outdoors. You love your dog, Charley, and you like to see other dogs too. It's a highlight for you to spend time playing at Daniel's nursery school during drop-off and you are always unhappy when we leave. You started taking your first steps a month ago, but after you got sick with roseola you slowed down a bit. I love to put pigtails in your hair, and everyone always say you look like the little girl Boo from the movie "Monsters, Inc." We even call you Boo!

Kendall we love you so much!!

One Year Stats:
Weight: 15 pounds 11 ounces
Height: 27 inches
Teeth: One on the top (with a second starting to come in), two on the bottom

The whole family hot and tired after a successful party.

Okay, maybe not too tired to continue the celebration with our neighbors, the Gesswein's.  They stopped by late because they had baseball games all day. What could we do but fire up the blender? Zachary and Daniel had fun wrestling.

Dylan helped Kendall out in the kitchen.

Baby Jack woke up from his nap to keep the party going.

La cucaracha!

Finally winding down in the evening, the birthday girl relaxing with her Uncle J.

And Barley and Charley tried to relax with Val. Val was a huge help for the party donating her nacho cheese, bean, and meat warmer and cooking skills. Thanks, sis!
We had an awesome time celebrating our little girl's birthday with friends and family. Happy Birthday, Kendall!
