Easter 2011

We had a lovely Easter. For the first time in 5 years, Brian was able to get Easter off from work (YAY!!) and it was so great being able to attend our church's Easter services at UCSB's lagoon together as a family.

Daniel got to color eggs at preschool earlier in the week.

At the Cathedral Oaks Club egg hunt with Grandpa. Daniel grabbed his Easter basket first thing in the morning because he was so eager to go to the egg hunt.

The beautiful eggs Daniel colored with Grandma!

Egg hunt. Daniel loved hunting for eggs so much that when he was finished he made Brian hide them over and over AND OVER again!

Family photo minus someone who still refuses to pose for pictures. I honestly thought our baby girl was going to arrive by Easter- but I guess she had other plans.

Mom's B-day

While Jeff and Val were in town for the weekend we celebrated my Mom's birthday with dinner at "The Palace". Daniel's two favorite things at dinner- playing music with the jazz band, and eating his grandma's birthday dessert (although I don't think she was sad to share, she seemed pretty satisfied with her martini). Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

Baby Dach

One of the most exciting things about being pregnant this time around is that my younger sis, Val is preggo too. She and Jeff are expecting their first baby- a boy - in late August. We passed on the first of many boxes of Daniel's old baby clothes to them, but I couldn't resist buying Baby Dach his first of what is sure to become A LOT of Dallas Cowboys gear.

Ball Baby Shower

The Feeley Family Hootenannies are always a blast to be a part of. You can always count on good grub, good music and good fun with friends. We got together to celebrate the upcoming birth of Baby Ball (gender not yet known!)

Kelley and me showing off our baby bumps. She is due a month after us. I love that 15 years ago we were in this same backyard posing with our dates for prom photos.

Decorating a potato to look like the offspring of Mike and Kelley.

Tie-dying onesies for Baby Ball. This kid now has a wardrobe that is the envy of any Grateful Deadhead.

The parents to be getting ready to perform their special rendition of "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys"

Dad's Day at Preschool

Daniel's nursery school hosted a Dad's Day last weekend where they got to bring their dads into school to do some fun activities. Since Brian was working, Daniel brought Grandpa. It's questionable who was looking forward to this morning the most- Daniel or Grandpa!

Daniel's Brazilian Girlfriend

Daniel has a new girlfriend. Her name is Luisa and she is from Rio, Brazil. At 19 years old, she has a few years on Daniel, but he doesn't seem to mind. Luisa is the daughter of one of my dad's friends from graduate school and she is here to study English at City College. She stayed at my parents' for a few days before moving in with her host family and Daniel was devastated to say goodbye to her!

Baby Bun in the Oven

My talented photographer friend Phil had some time at the photo studio at SBCC and no model- so I volunteered my baby bump.
