Weekender to SF

E-fares, E-fares, oh how I love thee! Travelocity had an e-fare sale-Santa Barbara to San Francisco for the bargain price of $100 round-trip. It was too good of a deal to pass up so Daniel and I decided to take a quick trip to visit my sister and Jeff for the weekend.
Daniel all bundled up and ready to take a stroll to Val &Jeff's neighborhood park.

Olympic hopeful in the rings (with Uncle Jeff's help, of course.)

Daniel wanted Barley to take a bath with him!

Snuggle time with Auntie Val.

"I'll brush my hair after I finish this waffle."

Sweet Barley.

Dazed and confused Daniel waking up after we landed in SB.

Daniel hadn't been on a plane since our trip to Hawaii last spring. The lucky kid managed to get his own seat both there and back! Daniel was in awe of the airplane. He wasn't too fond of taking his shoes off at security or checking his stroller in at the gate (the child has a strong attachment to his stroller). Since we've returned, Daniel enjoys spotting planes in the sky or in his books and remembering Daniel and Mommy's airplane trip!

2009 Wrap Up

2009 was a fantastic year and I am excited about 2010 and all the fun adventures to come. Some of our best memories from 2009 include:
- An awesome trip with the Kemmerer side of the family to Hawaii (Daniel's first airplane trip).
- Celebrating my 30th Birthday with good friends and family and scrumptious food.
- Daniel turns ONE!
- Visiting Val and Jeff in San Francisco and enjoying their beautiful new home.
- Daniel having sleepovers at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Friday nights during the summer = date nights for mommy and daddy!
- Traveling to Colorado with Cory for Katie's wedding.
- Picnics with live music, family and friends at Stow House.
- Completing my first two sprint triathlons.
- Brian traveling to Mexico for his 30th birthday surf trip.
- Becoming first-time homeowners.
- My trip to visit Erika and Nephele in Vermont.
- Hosting Thanksgiving for the first time; Brian's delicious first turkey.
- Meeting our new puppy-nephew Barley and watching he and Daniel bite each other play together.
- Running the SB Marathon relay with family.

- Seeing how much Daniel LOVED the Christmas season.
- Watching Daniel grow up into a walking running toddler, with a strong and sweet personality.

We know God has richly blessed us and we are so thankful for our family and friends. Happy New Year!
Below are some photos that were taken in November by our friend (who also photographed our wedding) Stephanie Rachford.
