Mailee's 1st Birthday Luau at the Beach

The Birthday Girl Mailee Ann Wun!

The daddies- Drew, Aaron, Brian and Raymi.

Daniel wore his new beach hat from Auntie Valerie.

Our first road trip to San Clemente

Last weekend we packed up the Odyssey (we LOVE driving our van) and headed south to San Clemente to stay with Raymi and Alisha for Mailee's 1st Birthday Bash.

Daniel is looking forward to being old enough to eat all the yummy food Uncle Raymi cooks.

Daniel was so cozy snuggling with Auntie Alisha.

Hapa Babies

On the way to San Clemente, we stopped in Pasadena to meet Nephele Poe and Pheobe and to hang out with their mommies Erika and Jessica. All the babies are "hapa hapa", or 1/4 Chinese!

Picnic at the Beach

Our family met the Claydon family (a.k.a. Team Claydon) for a pizza picnic dinner and horseshoes at Goleta Beach. Daniel and his future surfing partner in crime Royal Cruz (born only a week and a half after Daniel) got to spend some quality time together.

Daniel loves dogs

Daniel had a Little Lamb

Ahhh...there's nothing better than a bath, a baby massage from Daddy and Mommy, and then relaxing on a giant lamb. (Thanks Kwock Family for the snuggly lamb!)

Grandpa's Office

When Daddy was surfing Campus, Daniel and Ashley decided to surprise Grandpa and walked over to his office at UCSB. Grandpa was so excited to show Daniel to his colleagues and the guys in the lab. Daniel enjoyed seeing the Computer Science Department and all the cool computers in Grandpa's office.

Surfer Boy

Until Daniel is old enough to surf, he'll just have to settle for virtual surfing (hanging out on his tummy-time surfboard play mat)! He loves hanging out with Daddy and misses him when he goes surfing. Daniel can't wait to go with him to Sands, Campus and out to the ranch!

Happy 4th of July!

Daniel celebrated his first Independence Day relaxing inside Grandma and Grandpa's house. He had big plans to party at the annual Fourth of July Block party but was deterred by the smoke and ashes from the Gap Fire. Instead, he stayed indoors and enjoyed the comfort of the air purifier and fans. We are all thankful that our friends who had to evacuate their homes ended up safe!
