Strawberry Pickin' at the Farm

The other day CSA members were treated to strawberry picking at the farm. It was Daniel's dream come true to pick all the strawberries he wanted and stuff those suckers into his mouth.

At the end of the day the stats were as follows: 

Number of strawberry baskets to bring home- 2

Number of strawberry baskets consumed by Daniel at farm- 1
White toddler shirts stained by strawberry juice- 1

Feeling crummy!

This past week I've had two sick boys at home. Bad germs galore.

One of my favorite things is watching Brian and his friends get together with their growing families. This past weekend we got to meet Alan's 3 month old son, Liam.

One of the Best Parts of Summer...

...is that it stays light outside so late. We have time to hit the beach for a few hours after Brian gets home from work!

Glop and Glam

Saturday morning Daniel and I went to Nordstrom for the "Glop and Glam" product launch. Glop and Glam kid friendly hair products (Glop for boys and Glam for girls) was created by Andrea Ridgell, a local hairstylist and mom. I wanted to support the local business and Andrea's sister is a friend from high school who now works as VP of National Sales for the product. For the launch Andrea was styling kids' hair. I really wanted Daniel to get a mini mohawk but his hair is a little too long. Daniel was apprehensive about having his hair styled until the beautiful Andrea enticed him with some of Glop and Glam's yummy smelling scents- orange creamsicle and chocolate! Daniel loved having his hair styled and clapped his hands excitedly when he saw his new look in the mirror. Since then, he loves having me style his hair with the Glop and Glam products. The best news for me- they work wonders at combating Daniel's bed-head!

Caleb's B-day

Today was Caleb's 2nd birthday. We met at the zoo for cupcakes. We also got to feed the giraffes which was a very special treat. It was amazing how rough the giraffe's tongue felt. Happy Birthday, Caleb!
